COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

MUNICH, May 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Infineon’s Startup Challenge brings together promising founder teams and young high-tech companies from across the globe to work jointly on a highly relevant topic: humanoid robotics. The Challenge is a structured innovation program designed to develop technological concepts into market-ready applications. It is part of Infineon’s global Co–Innovation Program, in which Infineon drives innovation together with startups as a technology and development partner.

“Semiconductors are the foundation of humanoid robotics and a key growth driver. Strategic collaboration with startups creates a win-win situation, combining novel ideas with industrially proven semiconductor technologies and thereby accelerating innovative, market-ready applications in this future-oriented field. Innovation does not occur in isolation, but rather where our customers’ challenges meet entrepreneurial courage, technological expertise and rapid implementation. The Startup Challenge is therefore a key pillar of our innovation culture,” says Sören Jehmlich, Vice President Ventures, Startups & Ecosystems at Infineon.

Technological focus areas of the challenge

The 2026 Challenge is aimed at emerging technology companies working on solutions for humanoid robotics, particularly in the following areas:

“Humanoid robotics—or more broadly, physical AI—is a relevant topic for Infineon. In this young and dynamic market segment in particular, our semiconductor products offer clear advantages as system solutions for developing robotic applications: for example, in energy-efficient and precise actuation, sensing for environmental perception and system connectivity. In the Infineon Startup Challenge, young technology companies can transform their ideas into real, scalable applications using our hardware and software demo kits,” says Dirk Geiger, Senior Director & Team Lead Humanoid Robotics at Infineon.

From application to industrial application

Ambitious startups can submit their ideas up until 27 May 2026. Following the application phase, an expert jury will conduct a multi-stage selection process. The teams selected will take part in a multi-month technology and development program, gain access to Infineon technologies, prototyping kits as well as hardware and software solutions and will participate in pitch events and workshops.

Additionally, the teams will receive technical support and mentoring for prototype development, as well as business and presentation training. The program concludes with demo and pitch sessions, where results are presented to an expert audience of industry representatives, deep-tech investors and decision-makers.

Strong partner network and expert jury

The program is being implemented together with a network of technology, industry and financing partners. The jury combines deep technological expertise with entrepreneurial and strategic investment know-how. A key component of the Challenge is direct interaction with investors and financing partners from the deep-tech and innovation ecosystem. The goal is to make promising technologies visible at an early stage and support them during growth and scaling.

The program is supported within the framework of the Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI) for microelectronics and computer technology, which promotes the development of European innovation ecosystems, and other sources.

Further information and participation links: Applications are open until 27 May 2026.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

PRINCETON, N.J. and CHIASSO, Switzerland, May 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — FarmaMondo Group, an international commercial pharmaceutical organization that partners with pharma and biotech to deliver innovative and specialty medicines to the 50+ emerging markets, today announces the appointment of Natalie Douglas as Independent Board Director. Douglas is best known for pioneering the managed access to commercialization drug program, now the accepted model for how the pharmaceutical industry delivers access to many international markets.

After a career in leadership at J&J, Douglas built IDIS, an international specialty pharmaceutical organization headquartered in Princeton, NJ. Douglas transformed IDIS into the leading global provider of managed access programs, delivering over 200 global access programs on behalf of 40 pharmaceutical and biotech companies for serious and rare conditions. The company was subsequently acquired by Clinigen Group, validating the transformative commercial value of Douglas’s model. Under her visionary leadership, IDIS proved that expanded access could be delivered systematically, ethically, and at scale so that patients all over the world had access to life-saving medicines.

“Natalie Douglas is one of the most significant figures in global patient access, credited with developing the industry standard for managed access programs and connecting pharma companies to healthcare facilities in hard-to-reach places around the world,” said Yaron Spigel, FarmaMondo CEO. “Natalie’s appointment to our board is pivotal as FarmaMondo expands its partnership base with U.S.-based pharmaceutical and biotech companies seeking to comprehensively serve patients around the globe.”

FarmaMondo is at an inflection point in its growth trajectory as it rapidly expands its footprint in the U.S. market. It has 14 regional affiliates and an oncology, specialty and rare disease portfolio that represents more than 50 therapies across 50 countries. Critically, FarmaMondo delivers commercial patient access with a novel model unmatched in the industry. Douglas’ historic leadership positions her as an ideal board member for the company’s expanded presence in the U.S. market.

“It’s a privilege to lend my global access expertise to FarmaMondo and help them expand their U.S. market presence,” said Natalie Douglas, FarmaMondo Board Director. “I am impressed with what Yaron and his team have built to drive the future model of international market access; FarmaMondo’s work with their pharma partners aligns with my passion to help patients in dire need of life-changing medicines that live outside the traditional geography of major markets.”

About FarmaMondo Group

FarmaMondo Group is a pharmaceutical organization that delivers pharmaceutical companies with a turnkey, integrated market presence across 50+ emerging markets, from early access through commercialization, bringing vital medicines to patients in need.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

Bridge to life highlights study presented as oral late-breaking clinical trial during “The 2026 International Congress of the International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS)” in Geneva, Switzerland, May 6-9, 2026

DULUTH, Ga., May 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — A first-of-its-kind global multicenter study has established the first international benchmark framework for pediatric liver transplantation (PLT), providing a long-awaited reference framework for morbidity, complications, graft survival, and recipient outcomes across diverse pediatric transplant populations worldwide.

Presented as an oral late-breaking clinical trial during the 2026 International Congress of the International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS) in Geneva, Switzerland, this landmark analysis addresses one of the most significant unmet needs in pediatric transplantation: the absence of globally standardized outcome benchmarks to guide graft selection, risk stratification, and post-transplant quality assessment. For additional details, click here for the abstract.

Led by Sapana Verma, MD, PhD, and under the mentorship of Prof. Andrea Schlegel, from Cleveland Clinic, the study analyzed primary pediatric liver transplants performed between 2000 and 2024 across nine high-volume transplant centers spanning North America, Asia, Europe, South America, and Africa/Middle East.

“Globally accepted benchmark standards for pediatric liver transplantation have been sorely lacking,” said Dr. Verma. “Our goal has been to establish international benchmark reference standards for morbidity and survival after pediatric liver transplantation and to derive a data-driven graft-selection decision framework across heterogeneous pediatric subgroups.”

The benchmark cohort demonstrated significantly lower major morbidity, fewer renal, vascular, and biliary complications, as well as shorter ICU and hospital length of stay. Importantly, the benchmarking model robustly differentiated outcomes across heterogeneous pediatric populations, creating a scalable platform for future global quality assessment and risk-adjusted outcome analysis.

The researchers plan to expand the work to a ≥10,000 recipient multicenter cohort to establish definitive global reference standards and validate outcome thresholds across recipient age, weight, liver disease etiology, graft type, and combined risk profiles.

“This work is highly important because pediatric transplantation has historically lacked the standardized reference points that exist in adult transplantation,” said Don Webber, President and CEO of Bridge to Life Ltd. “As the field advances toward precision graft assessment, viability evaluation, and optimized preservation strategies such as hypothermic oxygenated perfusion (HOPE), having robust benchmark standards becomes essential. These reference standards help define not only what success looks like, but how we improve access to safe transplantation for more pediatric patients worldwide.”

Research involving Bridge to Life’s VitaSmart™ Hypothermic Oxygenated Perfusion (HOPE) System has demonstrated HOPE to be safe and effective in pediatric liver transplantation, supporting the growing role of machine perfusion and viability-guided decision-making in this highly specialized population.

As pediatric transplantation moves toward more individualized graft selection and broader use of advanced preservation technologies, these newly established benchmark standards provide a critical foundation for the next generation of clinical decision-making. While benchmarking defines what is achievable, advanced preservation strategies such as HOPE offer a promising pathway to bring higher-risk grafts closer to benchmark-level outcomes.

PISA – Un bilancio di nove persone deferite all’Autorità Giudiziaria.

Presentations further support use of HOPE in U.S. and EU for making more organs available for transplantation, reducing registry list waiting times

DULUTH, Ga., May 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Bridge to Life™ Ltd., a global innovator in organ preservation solutions and perfusion technology, today announced new data from studies using Hypothermic Oxygenated Perfusion (HOPE) for the preservation of donor livers awaiting transplantation. The studies collectively demonstrate that HOPE with VitaSmart™ improves utilization of steatotic, older, and previously discarded donor livers, while preserving mitochondrial function and supporting flavin mononucleotide (FMN) as a direct biomarker of graft viability. Together, these findings strengthen the clinical and economic case for broader adoption of HOPE across transplant centers in the U.S. and Europe.

“FDA clearance of VitaSmart™ established Bridge to Life as the first company to bring HOPE to the U.S. market as a cleared platform for liver transplantation. These new ILTS data reinforce that HOPE is not simply a preservation strategy—it is a tool for organ recovery, viability assessment, and better transplant decision-making,” said Don Webber, president and CEO of Bridge to Life Ltd. “By extending the use of marginal donor organs and preserving mitochondrial integrity, we are helping transplant teams move from preservation toward precision transplantation.”

CGTN: Why is the world watching the upcoming China-US summit?

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

CGTN published an article examining why the world is closely watching the upcoming China-US summit. Against a backdrop of prolonged geopolitical tensions and fragile global recovery, the article highlights how head-of-state diplomacy serves as the “anchor” of China-US relations. It also explores how the summit could inject greater certainty into an increasingly volatile world.

BEIJING, May 11, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — At the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, US President Donald Trump will pay a state visit to China from May 13 to 15, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Monday.

At a time of prolonged geopolitical tensions and fragile global recovery, the world is closely watching whether the two leaders can further stabilize China-US relations and inject much-needed certainty into the international landscape.

Keeping China-US relations on the right course

For many observers, the summit reflects one core hope: stability in bilateral ties.

Interviews conducted by CGTN show a common view among experts that head-of-state diplomacy has long served as the “anchor” of that stability.

As Wu Xinbo, dean of the Institute of International Studies at Fudan University, put it, such head-of-state diplomacy “sets the tone and defines the direction” of bilateral ties.

Christopher Newport University’s Associate Professor Sun Taiyi similarly noted that direct leader-to-leader communication helps reduce uncertainty, prevent miscalculation and signal that stability remains the overriding priority.

Over the past year, the two leaders have maintained communication through phone calls and a face-to-face meeting in Busan, the Republic of Korea (ROK), helping prevent major miscalculations and keeping the overall relationship stable.

As Xi told Trump in Busan, “In the face of winds, waves and challenges, we should stay the right course, navigate through the complex landscape, and ensure the steady sailing forward of the giant ship of China-US relations.”

That metaphor of “steering the ship” has been reflected in concrete progress.

Since 2025, under the strategic consensus reached by the two heads of state, economic teams from both sides have held multiple rounds of talks, while large-scale tariff escalation has been paused. A new round of consultations is set to take place in the ROK from May 12 to 13, just ahead of the Beijing summit.

People-to-people exchanges have also regained momentum. In April, Beijing hosted events marking the 55th anniversary of China-US “Ping-Pong Diplomacy,” with hundreds of young Chinese and Americans taking part in sports and cultural exchanges. More US youth groups have also traveled to China for exchange and study programs.

Bringing certainty to a changing world

As the world’s two largest economies, and with China-US relations standing as one of the most important bilateral ties globally, outcomes of head-of-state diplomacy between the two countries not only help stabilize bilateral relations, but also have a broader impact on global development and governance.

As Peterson Institute Senior Fellow Chad Bown noted, “virtually everyone has a stake in the outcome.” Cornell University economist Eswar Prasad went further, suggesting the meeting could carry implications for global trade, geopolitics and even the “rules-based order.”

CGTN interviews with experts highlight the similar points.

Zhang Tengjun, associate research fellow at the China Institute of International Studies, said deeper cooperation could inject momentum into global recovery and stabilize industrial and supply chains, stressing that the trajectory of bilateral ties is closely tied to the world’s future.

On this point, scholar Sun said that stable relations reduce risks of supply chain disruption, financial volatility and geopolitical fragmentation.

Dean Wu noted that as the world’s two major technological powers, China and the United States have the capacity to generate “win-win outcomes” through practical cooperation, supporting broader global growth and scientific progress.

Likewise, Cui Fan, vice dean of the University of International Business and Economics, emphasized that both countries share responsibility for the stability of global governance.

Xi underlined this responsibility in Busan as well: “The world today is confronted with many tough problems. China and the United States can jointly shoulder our responsibility as major countries, and work together to accomplish more great and concrete things for the good of our two countries and the whole world.”

This year provides a window for that responsibility to be tested, with China hosting APEC and the United States hosting the G20 Leaders’ Summit – two platforms that could open space for coordination on global recovery, food and energy security, debt risks, and governance reform.

In a February phone call with Trump, Xi set out a pragmatic path forward: “If the two sides work in the same direction in the spirit of equality, respect and mutual benefit, we can surely find ways to address each other’s concerns.”

The world will watch the upcoming summit to see how Beijing and Washington can translate into action Xi’s call to “make progress step by step to build mutual trust, find the right way to get along, and make 2026 a year where the two major countries advance toward mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation.”

MICROIP Unveils “Software-Driven Hardware” Strategy at EEC 2026, Partnering with Poland to Build a Resilient Edge AI & ASIC Supply Chain

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

KATOWICE, Poland, May 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — At the 2026 European Economic Congress (EEC 2026), MICROIP Chairman Dr. James Yang participated in a high-level dialogue at the “Poland-Taiwan Economic Cooperation Forum.” Joined by Ambassador Liu Yong-jian and HCG Vice Chairman Michael Chiu, Dr. Yang advocated leveraging Taiwan’s semiconductor prowess to propel Poland into a strategic hub for European Edge AI.

Addressing the “Last Mile” of AI deployment, Dr. Yang noted that global adoption is hindered by fragmented end-user demands and the high cost of general-purpose chips. “MICROIP advocates a ‘Software-Driven Hardware’ approach,” Yang stated, emphasizing translating domain expertise into silicon reality. By utilizing mainstream chip platforms alongside MICROIP’s low-power Customized ASIC Design Services (CATS) and AIVO No-Code platform, engineers can transform specific industry knowledge into specialized applications with minimal barriers. This model has already demonstrated commercial success in autonomous UAV navigation—tracking objects without internet access—and in smart cities, where on-device processing protects privacy while saving critical bandwidth.

The forum highlighted the synergy between Poland’s “Soft Intelligence” and Taiwan’s “Hard Foundations”. Michael Chiu of HCG identified Poland as a core innovation partner for Taiwan’s security industry. Dr. Yang noted that combining Europe’s software talent with Taiwan’s hardware creates a “resilient supply chain,” establishing Poland as an “AI Hardware-Software Innovation Hub”. Furthermore, MICROIP collaborates with its sister company, Arculus EDA UK, to provide professional EDA services. This strategic partnership significantly reduces the ASIC R&D-to-mass-production cycle, allowing MICROIP to co-define global AIoT standards while providing European clients with the most cost-effective solutions to meet localized market needs.

“Talent is the ultimate currency of the AI industry; we invest where the talent is,” Yang concluded. Success will be measured by a deep symbiosis of technology and talent, moving beyond simple trade to a thriving industrial ecosystem. This strategic alignment positions MICROIP to bridge technical value with international capital markets, opening a new chapter for the global ASIC and AI software design service industry.

About MICROIP

MICROIP is a Taiwan-based leader in ASIC design services, AI software, and IP licensing. Through its CATS (Custom ASIC Technology & Solutions) and CAPS (Cross-platform AI Processing Service) platforms, it accelerates real-world AI deployment and shortens development cycles.

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

SHANGHAI, May 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Envision Energy, a global leader in green technology, announced the signing of a strategic partnership with Cape Breton China Corp. The two parties will jointly explore clean energy development opportunities in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Canada, with plans to develop a 300MW hybrid wind and BESS project, forming an integrated wind-and-storage net-zero demonstration project. The collaboration marks a significant step in Envision Energy’s footprint in North America, reinforcing its long-term commitment to delivering future energy system for the region’s energy transition and sustainable economic development.

Under the agreement, the project will center on high-quality renewable energy supply while integrating wind generation with energy storage systems. Through coordinated planning and optimization, the wind-storage hybrid system is expected to enhance grid flexibility and stability, supporting regional clean power integration and accelerating the decarbonization of the local energy mix in Eastern Canada. Beyond conventional project development, the partnership emphasizes a system-oriented approach, reflecting Envision’s evolving capabilities across generation, storage, and integrated energy systems. This approach is expected to improve project bankability while enhancing long-term operational resilience and value creation.

In addition to infrastructure development, Envision will collaborate with local partners to launch green energy training and education programs. Covering wind power, energy storage, future energy systems and net-zero industrial parks, the initiatives aim to strengthen local capabilities, foster green energy talent and support a more resilient and sustainable clean energy ecosystem in the region. This effort extends the collaboration from project delivery to long-term ecosystem building.

“This partnership is not only about deploying renewable energy capacity, but about rethinking how future energy systems are designed,” said Yi Zhu, Senior Business Director of Canada at Envision Energy, “By integrating wind power, energy storage, and intelligent system optimization, we aim to demonstrate a more adaptive, resilient, and scalable energy architecture for North America’s rapidly decarbonizing markets, where system flexibility matters as much as generation capacity. This approach supports long-term economic and environmental resilience, while also advancing training and education to help build a more self-sustaining energy ecosystem.”

“Nova Scotia has strong renewable resource potential and a clear need for projects that are grounded in local conditions,” added Dr. Bob Liu, Founder of Cape Breton China Corp. “This partnership with Envision Energy brings a more integrated and system-driven approach to renewable energy deployment, better aligned with real grid needs and long-term energy transition goal, assessing a clear pathway that is technically sound, commercially practical and capable of delivering lasting value for the region.”

COMUNICATO STAMPA – CONTENUTO PROMOZIONALE

RIVA DEL GARDA, Italy, May 11, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Held in Italy from May 17 to 19, 2026, the EOW Outdoor Trade Show will showcase NOTAPE™’s revolutionary tapeless and seamless zipper. Shattering the zipper industry’s century-old incremental innovation paradigm, NOTAPE™ resolves the core structural defects of traditional zippers with systemic breakthroughs in structure, design, manufacturing, performance and business models, setting a new industry benchmark for technological innovation and eco-design in the apparel and outdoor sectors.

Architecture: From Assembly to Integration

Traditional zipper innovation has always been about addition: smoother sliders, tougher teeth, eco‑friendlier tape yarns. But the underlying structure never changed – teeth must rely on a separate fabric tape to attach to the garment. This “assembly thinking” keeps the zipper as an attached part, never part of the garment itself. NOTAPE™ removes the independent tape and directly integrates teeth onto the fabric. The zipper becomes a natural extension of the fabric, opening new possibilities for design, manufacturing, and sustainability.

Design: Reinventing the Zipper’s Skeleton

Conventional zippers follow a “teeth + tape” logic，NOTAPE™ reinvents the skeleton. If traditional zippers “hang” on tape, NOTAPE™’s zipper “grows” on the fabric. The teeth are self‑supporting, forming directly on the fabric through a one‑piece integrated construction. The zipper is no longer an add‑on but a functional zone that emerges from the fabric – visually invisible, structurally fused.

Manufacturing: From Sewing Age to Forming Age

Traditional production involves multiple steps across different factories, with accumulated errors and coordination costs. Dyeing consumes energy and water; sewing depends on skilled labor and risks rework. NOTAPE™ simplifies the process into one‑step integrated forming: fabric enters the equipment, and teeth are formed directly onto it. Tape weaving, dyeing, transportation, and sewing are eliminated. NOTAPE™ does not just sell zippers; it helps factories “delete steps”.

Performance: Delivering the “Impossible Combination”

Traditional zipper design faces trade‑offs: smooth operation requires larger teeth, which become heavier and more visible; invisibility requires smaller teeth and narrower tape, but durability suffers; eco‑materials often compromise strength. NOTAPE™ breaks these physical constraints. With its tapeless structure and self‑supporting teeth, it achieves thinness, strength, invisibility, and durability simultaneously. Its bonding strength equals or exceeds stitched fastenings, eliminating the risk of small teeth detaching. Through precise tooth-to-fabric integration, NOTAPE™ creates a physical anti-leak barrier without the need for any film or coating.

Business Model: From Selling Inventory to Selling Technology

Traditional zipper companies follow a “make inventory – sell by length – price per meter” model, leading to commoditization and price wars. Brands gain little differentiation, and zipper suppliers struggle to build deep partnerships. NOTAPE™ transforms its business model from selling products to selling solutions – moving from supplier to technology partner. Through technology licensing, joint R&D, and equipment leasing, it builds shared technical moats with manufacturers and brands. What customers receive is not a zipper, but a technology solution tailored to their products. As we often say: NOTAPE™ is not just selling zippers; it is reinventing garments together with its clients.

The value of NOTAPE™’s tapeless and seamless zipper lies not in any single parameter improvement, but in a fundamental restructuring of a century‑old system – a true reinvention. It redefines the zipper’s form, manufacturing, and value, setting a new benchmark for eco‑design and technological innovation in the apparel industry.
